NEET SS College Predictor: Category-Wise Requirements

The category-wise NEET SS score requirements will vary with each college. Go through the NEET SS score requirements for General, reserved category, and economically weaker section (EWS) candidates.

General Category

For General category candidates, the qualifying score in NEET SS ranges from 250 to 300. They must be within the 50th percentile of the students, meaning that they must score better than 50% of the exam candidates.

SC/ST/OBC Category

For the SC/ST/OBC candidates, the required NEET SS qualifying score ranges from 137 to 280. SC/ST candidates must be within the 40th percentile, and OBC students are required to be within the 45th percentile.

EWS Category

Same as the General category, the qualifying score for EWS category candidates in the NEET SS exam is 250 to 300. They must be within the 50th percentile in the NEET SS results to be eligible for super-speciality medical courses.

NEET SS College Predictor: Government vs Private College Prediction

The government colleges available to you will be mainly based on your NEET SS score, while private colleges offer suitable options for low NEET scores. While private colleges provide alternatives to government colleges, they have higher fees.

Government Medical College Chances

Your chances of getting into government colleges will depend mainly on your NEET SS score and rank. The higher your NEET SS score and rank, the better chances you will have of getting a reputable government college. Some government colleges like VMMC Delhi, CMC Vellore, etc may require over 500 marks out of 600. Moreover, the cutoff NEET SS ranks can reach as high as the top 100.

For comparably lower-ranking government colleges, you can get admissions with scores of 400 to 500. Thus, the government medical colleges predicted by the NEET SS predictor will mainly depend on your NEET score, rank, and the cutoff requirements.

Private Medical College Options

For students with 300 to 400 or lower marks in NEET SS, private medical colleges can offer suitable options for super-speciality medical colleges. These colleges, such as Granty Medical College, Dr DY Patil Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, etc offer Management quota seats in return for donations.

The cutoff requirements in private medical colleges are more flexible than government ones, and marks below 300 are accepted there. However, the fees can reach up to ₹20 lakhs or more per year.
