The NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam will be held on Sunday, June 21, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM in pen-and-paper mode. Students will not have to pay any additional fee for appearing in the re-test.

NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Fee Refund Policy

Many students are concerned about the NEET UG 2026 fee, especially about whether they will have to pay again for the re-exam or not. 

  • Candidates do not need to pay any extra fee for the re-exam.
  • A separate module will be opened for students to submit bank account details for a fee refund.


NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Correction Window for City Preference

NEET UG 2026 re-test correction window for address and city preferences will remain open till May 21, 2026, up to 11:50 PM. Students can select two city choices while updating their details. However, the final exam centre will depend on availability and the city options submitted by the students.


Will the Same NEET Exam Centre Be Allotted Again?

No, NTA has clarified that exam centres are allotted on the basis of the city selected by students. This means the centre allotted for the NEET UG 2026 Re-examination may not be the same as the earlier exam centre.


Can Candidates Change the Medium of the Question Paper?

No. Students cannot change the medium of examination now. The medium selected during the original NEET UG 2026 application process will remain final.

Why Is NTA Giving 15 Minutes Extra Time?

The re-exam timing is from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM. NTA has clarified that the additional 15 minutes are meant for documentation, verification and other exam-related formalities. Students should note that this extra time is not for solving the paper. It is for mandatory pre-exam processes at the centre.


Will NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Date Be Changed?

No. NTA has clearly stated that the NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam date has already been finalised and will not be changed. This means students should prepare for the exam as per the June 21 schedule. 


What Should NEET Aspirants Do Now?

Students appearing for the NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam should complete the city preference update before the deadline, keep their bank details ready for the refund process and regularly check the official NEET website for updates.

Ques: How can students submit their bank details for NEET refund?  

Ans: NTA will provide a separate module for submitting bank account details by May 21, 2026. Candidates should use their NEET login on the official portal once the module is available. 


Ques: Is 470 a good NEET score?

Ans: A 470 NEET score depends on factors such as category, state quota, college type and cut-off trends. It is not directly linked to the re-exam process. Candidates should wait for official results and counselling cut-offs before assessing admission chances.


Ques: Can students change the medium of examination?  

Ans: No, students can’t change the medium of examination selected during submission of the application from earlier and it cannot be changed. As per the NTA, the language-medium choice is fixed at this stage.
