Punjab NEET UG Counselling: The Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) has issued an important update for students seeking MBBS and BDS admission under the 85% Punjab state quota. The university has restored the candidature of four students who were earlier debarred from the Punjab NEET UG counselling 2026 process for not meeting the admission criteria. Their candidature was cancelled after they were found to have applied for medical and dental admissions in multiple states simultaneously.

Following representations submitted by the affected students, BFUHS verified their records with the concerned authorities in other states. After completing the verification process, the university cleared their cases and restored their candidature. The students can now participate in the upcoming counselling rounds for Punjab MBBS and BDS admissions. However, restoration of candidature does not guarantee seat allotment. The students will still have to fulfil all other applicable eligibility requirements and participate in the counselling process as per the prescribed rules.
