Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling 2025 is conducted by Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tamil Nadu to ensure fair and transparent seat allocation to the aspiring candidates. The DME Tamil Nadu, allots seats under the following quotas -

85% of seats for Tamil Nadu domicile candidates

For admission in private colleges

Counselling Round

Highlights

Round 1

  • Open to all the eligible candidates
  • Candidates can fill choices and seat allotment to eligible candidates.

Round 2

  • New candidates can register
  • Seat allotment to those who didn’t get a seat in Round 1 or candidates can apply for seat upgrade.

Mop-up Round

  • Only done if seats are still vacant after Round 2.
  • Candidates can fill for management/NRI quota.

Stray Vacancy Round 

  • If seats are vacant after mop up round.
  • No fresh registrations are considered, only registered candidates can apply for counselling.
  • Done by colleges under supervision of DME.
