Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University is located in Srinagar, in the State of Uttarakhand, which was established in 1973 and turned into a Central University in 2009. Approved by NAAC with an ‘A’ Grade. In 2024, IIRF ranked it 21st in the overall category. HNBGU is involved in the offering of UG, PG, diploma, and doctoral courses.
HNBGU offers undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D. programs, which lead to one primary degree: B.Tech. For admission to the B.Tech program, candidates must have passed 12th from any recognised university with physics, mathematics and chemistry, with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category). The candidate needs to appear for the CUET UG Examination, and if any, then JEE Main will be considered after university-level counselling.
