CUET UG Exam Overview

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET Exam) 2026 will be held in May or June in computer based test mode. Candidates looking for admission to undergraduate programs at top universities such as Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University, Allahabad University, and other central, state, private, or government universities must apply and appear for the CUET exam.

To appear for the CUET Exam 2026, candidates must apply through the official NTA website. The National Testing Agency is expected to commence CUET UG 2026 registration in the first week of March. Students who have passed 10+2 or are appearing for examinations are eligible to apply. 

Interested candidates must fill the online application form and pay the registration fee. While completing the CUET exam 2026 application form, candidates should keep the required documents ready and can select up to five CUET subjects, preferably based on the subjects studied in Class 12.

To prepare for the CUET Exam 2026, students need to follow a strict schedule and practical tips. Here are some useful preparation tips for students:

  • Research & Understand: Make sure you research about syllabus, exam pattern, exam details, and more. Students have to understand these details to prepare for exams strategically. 
  • Time Management: CUET UG is a time-based exam, so preparing and practising sections for time management is critical. However, be realistic about time management for each section and subject.

CUET Exam: Guidelines & Dress Code

Students appearing for the CUET Exam 2026 need to follow the exam day guidelines and dress code defined by the NTA. Here are some brief guidelines for the CUET Exam 2026. 

  • Carry a printed copy of the admit card and 2 passport-size photographs( same as online application). 
  • Carry the original identity proof on the exam day, and that could either be your Aadhar card, voter card, PAN card, passport, or driving license. 
  • PwD certificate if applicable.
  • Heavy clothing or full sleeves is prohibited. 
  • Sandals or slippers are allowed, and shoes are prohibited. 
  • Accessories like jewellery, badges, brooches, etc., should be avoided.


Things to Avoid During the Exam

During the exam, there are a few things that students need to avoid.

  • Printed, handwritten materials are not allowed. 
  • Food, water bottles are not allowed. 
  • Visit exam centres early
  • Make sure your attendance is marked twice. 
  • Do not leave the allotted seat without permission.

The NTA releases the answer key after the exam is conducted. Based on the answer key, the CUET UG scores are calculated. The CUET UG 2025 answer key is released on June 17, 2025, on the official website.

CUET UG Results 2025

CUET result 2025 has been announced on the NTA Website. The CUET result link at examinationservices.nic.in/resultservices. THE CUET UG 2025 scorecard is available in online mode. Candidates who appeared for the exam can download the CUET UG scorecard PDF online through their login credentials. CUET final scores will be calculated based on the final CUET 2025 answer key. 


To download the NTA scorecard PDF, candidates must enter their CUET application number and date of birth. NTA will also share the CUET subject-wise number of students who appeared for the exam, qualified candidates, and the names of the toppers, along with the CUET result 2025. NTA conducted CUET 2025 exam between May 13 and June 03, 2025, in a CBT format.


CUET Exam: Counselling 2026

CUET Exam does not have any central authority for counselling. The NTA CUET releases the cutoff after the result declaration. Based on the cutoff, participating universities invite candidates to take admission in courses.
