Banaras Hindu University was established in 1916 and is one of the top-ranked universities in India. BHU is recognized by the UGC and is accredited by the NAAC with an ‘A’ grade. As per the NIRF ranking 2024, BHU has been ranked 5 in the ‘University’ category. BHU has also secured 48th in Management, 7th in Medical, 17th in Dental, and 25th place in Law courses.
