Overview
The JEE Advanced 2025 examination is scheduled on 18th May 2025. The JEE Advanced registration 2025 will begin on 23rd April 2025 for Indian students, while the same will begin from 7th April 2025 for Foreign National candidates and OCI/PIO (F) candidates, and registration will close on 2 May 2025. Like every year, IIT JEE Advanced will be held in online mode across 222 cities in India and 2 outside India. The JEE Advanced host for 2025 is IIT Kanpur. The candidate willing to apply for JEE Advanced 2025 must pass the JEE Main 2025 Cutoff Percentile for JEE Advanced. The JEE Main Final Cutoff will be released after the JEE Main session 2 results.

What is JEE Advanced?
The Joint Entrance Examination(JEE) Advanced is a second step after the JEE Main examination to get admission in the various engineering courses offered by IITs and other institutions. The top 2.5 Lakh performers in the JEE Mains Examination are invited to appear in the JEE Advanced. For example, JEE Advanced is considered to be one of the toughest exams in the world. This exam is conducted in CBT(online) mode by 7IITs or IISc Bangalore, under the aegis of JAB(Joint Admission Board).
Those who qualify in the JEE Advanced exam are offered seats in IITs based on their course preference and JEE Advanced ranks via a common process by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). The following documents are required for JEE Advanced 2025 by candidates who dropped out between November 5 and November 18, 2024:
- A letter duly stamped and signed, from the Head of their Institution (Dean/Principal/Director), as per the format given in the updated JEE Advanced 2025 information brochure.
- An affidavit duly stamped and attested by a notary public, on a nonjudicial stamp paper of INR 10 as per the format given in the updated JEE Advanced 2025 information brochure. The affidavit should be of the candidate if she/he is more than 18 years of age. If the candidate is less than 18 years of age, the affidavit should be given by her/his parent or legal guardian.
- Withdrawal letter/notification issued to the candidate from her/his college/university/institute.
