Jai Prakash University (JPU) was established in 1990 in Chhapra, Bihar under the Bihar Universities Act 1976. Currently, the university consists of 21 constituent colleges and 11 affiliated colleges across Chhapra, Siwan, and Gopalganj. The courses available at JPU include B.A., B.Sc., B.Com, M.A., M.Sc., LLB, and BBA among others.
