Kyrgyz State Medical Academy: History
Kyrgyz State Medical Academy was opened on 1 September 1939 within the city of Frunze (currently Bishkek) in the Kyrgyz SSR with 200 students recruited. The institute’s establishment had been contributed to by First Moscow Medical Institute, high medical schools of Saint-Petersburg, Almaty, Tashkent as well as other medical institutions. The Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic manages the university.
