Students should prepare well in advance, before the counselling process begins. The exam for NEET UG 2026 will be held on May 3, 2026, and the re-exam will be held on June 21, 2026. The Maharashtra State Quota Counselling is expected to start from around October 2026 and seat allotment will be done in November. Failure to meet counselling deadlines could lose you out on admission opportunities.

No, candidates are not eligible to get direct admission, they have to go through the official counselling procedure. MIMSR Latur has allotted all seats of MBBS and MD/MS courses through the counselling system of the Maharashtra State CET Cell. Individuals who qualify for the NEET cut-off will go through the process of registration, choice filling, document verification and payment of registration fees to confirm their admission.

The most frequently cited reasons for admission delays are the absence of domicile certificates, incomplete caste validity papers, out-of-date income certificates, and inaccuracies in information on the NEET scorecard. Applicants for PG often encounter problems with the completion certificate of internship and NMC registration paperwork. The candidates are suggested to make all originals and multiple photocopies well in advance of starting counselling and reporting.
