MSc	A bachelor's degree with at least 55–60% (depending on the category) in a related field. You must apply through CCMN counseling and be eligible for IIT JAM.
PhD	Master's degree in a relevant discipline with at least 60% of the possible points (or 55% for SC/ST). Admission is determined by NIT Puducherry through a written exam and interview. Applicants who have GATE, NET, UGC-JRF, or CSIR-JRF may not be required to take the written exam.
