BHMS (Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery) is a 5.5-year undergraduate medical degree with a  1-year clinical internship recognised by the National Commission for Homoeopathy. Admission is through NEET UG and is offered by around 243 colleges (44 government and 80+ private).

BHMS: Qualification

BHMS course qualification includes 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from a recognised board is required for this course. 50% marks in PCB are required for the General category, 5-10% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC.

Students should be 17 years or above as on 31st December of the admission year. NEET-UG is mandatory for most colleges, few may consider board exam marks. Eligibility rules may vary slightly across states and universities, PCB stream is generally accepted.


BHMS: Duration 

The BHMS course duration is 5.5 years, of which 4.5 years is for academic study and a 1-year compulsory rotatory internship. During this period, students acquire theoretical knowledge and hands-on clinical training in homeopathy.

Admission to BHMS courses is based on the scores scored in  NEET-UG 2025 examination. BHMS Exams

To get admission in BHMS courses through different entrance exams in India, candidates must meet the basic eligibility (age and 10+2 with PCB) and also fulfil specific entrance exam criteria. Here’s what each exam expects from the candidate:

NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test)
