BITSAT 2025: Exam Dates, Application Form, Eligibility

BITSAT Exam is a national-level examination that is an online entrance exam conducted by BITS Pilani. The primary objective of the BITSAT Exam is to facilitate BITS Pilani admission to its integrated first-degree programs (B.E., B.Pharm, and M.Sc.) at various campuses of Birla Institute of Technology. To be eligible for BITSAT Exam candidates must have passed or be appearing for your 12th (or equivalent) examination with Physics, Chemistry, and either Mathematics or Biology, securing a minimum aggregate of 75% and at least 60% in each of these subjects.  

The BITSAT Exam syllabus and pattern consists of 130 multiple-choice questions across four sections: Physics (30), Chemistry (30), Mathematics/Biology (40), and English Proficiency & Logical Reasoning (20), with 3 marks for each correct answer and 1 mark deducted for each incorrect answer, the total duration of the paper is of 3 hours. To sit for the exam one has to fill out the BITSAT Exam application form on the bitsadmission.com.

BITS Pilani has released the official BITSAT 2025 information brochure. The BITSAT 2025 slot booking for different sessions will be open separately. The normalised score secured in the entrance exam will be announced through the BITSAT 2025 result/scorecard. To confirm their seat all qualified candidates will have to register for the BITSAT 2025 counselling process.

What is the BITSAT Exam?

Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) is a National Level test being conducted to facilitate admission in first-degree programs of BITS Pilani and its other campuses. BITSAT Exam is an online computer based test. The BITSAT exam pattern consists of 130 MCQs from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, English Proficiency & Logical Reasoning, to be solved in 180 minutes.

BITSAT Admit Card

The BITSAT Admit Card will be available on bitsadmission.com. Here below are the key steps to download BITSAT Admit Card 2025.

Step 1: Go to bitsadmission.com and login using required credentials.

Step 2: On the homepage, find the ‘Download Admit Card’ link.

Step 3: The BITSAT admit card will be displayed on the screen. Check details like name, exam date, time, and venue.

Step 4: Download the admit card and take a clear printout for future reference. A hard copy is required on the exam day.

Some of the important information that will be present in the BITSAT admit card 2025 are the allotted exam centre address, date, time, guidelines and more. All candidates will have to present their BITSAT 2025 admit card along with an original valid ID proof (Aadhaar card/PAN Card/Voter ID/Passport/Driver's License/School ID) at the exam centre. BITSAT Exam Application Form 2025

The BITSAT Exam Application Form for session 1 and both the slots has been released on bitsadmission.com. Candidates will have to complete the BITSAT 2025 registration and application form-filling process before the last date, i.e., April 18, 2025. Step 1: Registration: First you have to visit bitsadmission.com, and register with your mobile number and email id. 

Step 2: Filling Application form: After registering on the website, you have to fill out the BITSAT 2025 application form. While filling the application you must ensure that all the details that are filled by you are valid and correct. Next, you have to select three exam centers at your convenience.

Step 3: Uploading Documents: In the next step, you have to upload a scanned copy of all the required documents which includes photo, signature, marksheets, etc. 

Step 4: Application Fee: After filling the application form you will have to pay the examination fee online and submit the form.

BITSAT 2025 Slot Booking 

BITSAT 2025 slot booking link will be available online on the official website i.e bitsadmission.com. To access the BITSAT slot booking 2025 facility, students will have to log in using their application number and password. Using the BITSAT slot booking facility, students will be able to book their preferred examination date and time. Candidates are advised to complete the slot booking process as early as possible since it will be done on a first-come-first-serve basis. Allotment of slots will be done based on preference and seat availability. In case the candidates forget to book their slots, a random slot will be allotted to them by BITS Pilani.

BITSAT Exam Schedule

The BITSAT Exam is organised by BITS Pilani in two sessions in a year. Students have to select either of the sessions or may appear in both the sessions, if students opt to appear in both the sessions then the best score will be considered for the admission. BITSAT 2025 Merit List 

Based on the moderate scores obtained in BITSAT 2025, BITS Pilani will prepare the merit list of all the registered eligible candidates. In case 2 or more students have the same rank, the below mentioned criteria (in order of priority) will be used to break the tie:

• Higher marks in Mathematics (Biology for B.Pharm)
• Higher marks in Physics
• Higher marks in Chemistry
• Total marks obtained in class 12 PCM or PCB

BITSAT 2025 Counselling Process

BITSAT 2025 counselling is the process through which qualified candidates secure admission to BITS Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad campuses. A detailed step-by-step guide to the counselling process is shown below.

1. Registration for Counselling: Candidates who qualify BITSAT must register online for the counselling process.

2. Choice Filling and Preference Selection: Candidates must select and prioritize their preferred campuses and programs. The order of preference plays a crucial role in seat allotment.

3. Release of Iteration Lists: BITS releases multiple iteration lists based on candidates' preferences and merit rank. In each round, seat allotments are made according to available vacancies. Candidates who do not get their top preference may be waitlisted for further rounds.

4. Seat Allotment and Confirmation: If a candidate is allotted a seat, they must confirm admission by paying the required fee. If not satisfied, they can wait for the next iteration while retaining their allotted seat.

5. Document Verification: Candidates need to provide necessary documents for verification, including:

• BITSAT scorecard
• Class 12 mark sheet and passing certificate
• Identity proof
• Passport-size photographs
• Category certificate (if applicable)
