CLAT Application Process for 2026: Important Dates, Fees, Payment Modes, Documents, and Admit Card Info

The CLAT 2026 application process will be online. The candidates who fulfil the eligibility requirements have to submit the application form along with the required documents. How to Apply for the CLAT 2026 Application?

Step 1: Visit the official website

Visit the official CLAT exam website consotiumofnlus.ac.in and click the link ‘Register’ on the home page.

Step 2: Registration process

Complete the registration process by entering your name, mobile number, and creating a password. An OTP will be sent to the registered number. Verify and complete the process.

Step 3: Login

Log in to the website with your registered number and email address.

Step 4: Fill out the application form

Fill in the application form by entering academic details, personal and contact details, and choose your preferred exam centres.

Step 5: Upload documents

Upload the required documents along with passport-sized photographs and signatures in the specified format.

Step 6: NLU preference & pay fees

Select the order of your preference for NLUs and pay the application fee through online mode.

Step 7: Submit and review

Review your application carefully and click the “Submit” option to complete the registration and take a printout of the confirmation page and payment receipt.

Documents Required for the Application Form

• Front-facing passport-size recent photograph with a plain background.
• Signature of the candidate.
• Category certificate if you are applying under SC/ST/OBC.
• Relevant certificate issued by a competent authority if you are applying, if the candidate is P.W.D.
• A relevant certificate issued by a competent authority if you are coming under the BPL category.

Payment Mode of the CLAT Application Fee

The application amount can be paid both online and offline. The online amount can be paid in three modes:
