The Graduate Record Examination (GRE), an international standardised test, is administered by the Educational Testing Service (ETS) as a gateway to entry into postgraduate and doctoral programmes globally. For registering for the GRE, students must present a valid passport or government ID. In India, the fee for the GRE General Test is ₹22,000 rupees and the score is valid for five years. The GRE is taken at 33 test centres in India and is recognised in over 1,300 Universities worldwide.

The GRE score of 260 is the lowest that can be achieved to get through, while at a top university, a 320-point mark can be demanded for a competitive programme.

What is GRE? 

The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) has been developed by the Educational Testing Service (ETS) and is the most important entrance exam in the world. The test is being done for the admissions to business, law, and other graduate courses all over the world. Types of GRE

• The students must provide an accepted ID proof, for example, a passport, at the time of the exam. 
• Those who opt for the at-home exam must have white paper or a board, and a marker to take notes. A mirror or a mobile phone is also a necessity for the students to show the examiner the exam screen.
