What is NATA?

The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) has been conducted by the Council of Architecture (CoA) since 2006 for admission to the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) programs. The CoA (Minimum Standards of Architectural Education) Regulations, 1983 and 2020, approved by the Central Government under the Architects Act, 1972, mandate that candidates must pass an aptitude test conducted by either NTA (JEE) or NATA for architecture admissions.

Final admissions are managed by the respective State or Union Territory authorities based on the valid NATA score and eligibility criteria. NATA evaluates candidates' cognitive abilities, visual perception, aesthetic sensitivity, logical reasoning, and critical thinking to determine their aptitude for architecture.
