Document Verification for Delhi Counselling 2025: Checklist & Tips

The Delhi NEET Counselling 2025 is an important stage for students who want to secure their future as a doctor by getting seats in the top medical colleges in (NCT) National Capital Territory of Delhi. The counselling session for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), while the Faculty of Medical Sciences (FMSC), University of Delhi, is responsible for the counselling for 85% state quota seats. To ensure a just and fair admission, seat allotment is done based on NEET UG 2025 scores of the students.
List of Documents Required
Every student must have the required set of documents with him/her to ensure a smooth seat allotment without any delay.

- Class 10th Certificate and Mark Sheet (for date of birth verification)
- Class 12th Certificate and Mark Sheet

- Passport-Size Photographs (as per NEET specifications)
- Provisional Allotment Letter (downloaded from the counselling portal)

Additional Documents (if applicable):
- Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) issued by a competent authority
- Non-Creamy Layer Certificate for OBC candidates
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD) Certificate
- Domicile Certificate (for candidates claiming Delhi domicile)
- Gap Year Affidavit (if there is a gap between Class 12th and NEET attempt)
- Medical Fitness Certificate.

How to do Document Certification?
Here are the steps for NEET UG Delhi counselling document verification mentioned below-
Step 1: Register Online
- Visit the official website of https://fmsc.du.ac.in.
- Fill out the registration form on-site.
- After successful registration, download the Registration Slip and Verification Letter (this will have your allocated center information).
Step 2: reporting to the allocated Center
- Visit the allotted Center on the scheduled date and time.
- Carry all original documents in hard copy along with 2–3 photocopies of each.
- Bring passport-size photographs (as per NEET form, avoid taking pictures in black or blue clothes).
Step 3: Get Your Documents Verified
At the center:
- Officials will check all your documents and verify them.
- If everything is valid, they will stamp/sign your photocopies and keep a set.
- You’ll be marked as "Verified" in the system.
Where Does It Happen?
The Delhi NEET UG counselling is managed by MMC, FMSC, and IPU for different types of seats through online and offline modes. Information for online counselling is only available on the Medical Counselling Committee (MMC) for AIQ seats.
Why is it Important?
It is a crucial process for taking admission to MBBS and BDS programs in Delhi's medical and dental colleges.
It is a very important and mandatory step, if you skip this step you will be removed from the list and someone else will get admission on your seat, you have to go for documentation for locking your seat in the college or university, otherwise you will be missing out the admission opportunity even after eligible with good NEET scores.
When Does It Happen?
It approximately happens after a month of the NEET result declaration, tentatively in the month of July. The exact dates for registration, choice filling, and seat allotment will be announced by the respective authorities.
