This counselling is conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER). The number of PG seats for Tamil Nadu counselling in medical colleges is 4200. This includes 2,661 MD, 1,538 MS, and 48 PG Diploma seats. 

The NEET PG 2025 exam will be held on August 3. Following the exam results, the state counselling process will start by the 2nd week of September. Tamil Nadu NEET PG Counselling: Admission Process

The following steps show the Tamil Nadu NEET PG counselling admission process:

Step 1: Online Registration

Check the official website and register for the counselling round. A candidate should log in using their number and password. Fill out the form and upload the required documents. Send the form to the DME office in Chennai.

Step 2: Counselling Fee Payment

After filling out the form, pay the registration fees. As you pay the registration fees, registration will be completed.

Step 3: Choice Filling

Step 4: Seat Allotment
Check the official website for the seat allotment result. A seat will be allotted to the candidate based on the NEET PG school and cutoff. The category of the candidates will also be considered. 

Step 5: Report to College
The last step is to report to the college with the documents. Documents will be verified physically at the center. If the candidate is not satisfied with the allotment, then they can go for the stray vacancy round.
