MD curriculum at Plovdiv Medical University is based on the European medical education standards, with theoretical and practical (clinical) emphasis. The 6-year programme gives students a solid base in basic medical sciences in the first 4 years, leading to more in-depth study of the clinical subjects and training in the hospital during the last 2 years.
