AISSEE Registration Process
AISSEE 2026 is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to Class 6 and Class 9 in Sainik Schools across India. These schools are managed by the Sainik Schools Society under the Ministry of Defence. They provide good education and also prepare students for joining the National Defence Academy (NDA) and other defence-related institutes. Students must first clear a written exam, and then go through a medical test and document verification. The full admission process is explained step by step below.
1. Notification is released
- This notification is released officially by NTA on their official website.
- It consists of all the relevant information on dates, eligibility, syllabus, pattern of exam, and steps needed to apply.
2. Application Online
- Students have to register themselves on the official NTA AISSEE website.
- Fill in their personal and academic details.
- Upload scanned copies of a photograph, signature, and other documents required.
- Online payment of the application fee (depending on category).
3. Download Admit Card
- The admit cards will be issued and available for download in an online mode.
- The candidates shall download the admit card and take it with them to the centre on the day of the examination.
4. Written Examination
- Mode of Examination: Offline (Pen and Paper)
- For 6th Class: Mathematics, Language, Intelligence, and General Knowledge.
- For 9th Class: Mathematics, English, Intelligence, General Science, and Social Studies.
- The tests given to candidates consisted of multiple-choice questions on OMR sheets.
5. Result Declaration
- The result shall be declared on the NTA website.
- Merit lists shall be prepared based on the merit of candidates in the written examination.
6. Medical Examination
- The shortlisted candidates will undergo the medical examination.
- Medical examination shall be conducted at military or government hospitals.
- The candidates shall have to fulfil the physical and medical standards as prescribed by the Sainik Schools.
7. Final Merit List
- The final selection shall be made based on the combined performance of candidates in the written and medical tests.
- An admission list shall be published finally.
8. Document Verification & Admission
- All selected candidates should be present for the document verification physically and secure their admission seat.

AISSEE Admit Card
The AISSEE 2026 admit card is required to enter the exam hall. NTA will issue it only to candidates who meet the eligibility criteria and have completed the application process correctly. Below are some important instructions and guidelines for the admit card.
1. Download Method
Candidates must download it using their Application Number and Date of Birth.
2. Examination Instructions
Candidates must appear only at the exam centre, date, and time mentioned on the Admit Card.
3. Help for Download Issues
If unable to download, contact the NTA Help Line (10:00 AM–5:00 PM).
4. Discrepancy in Admit Card
- If errors exist in photo/signature/details, report to Help Line.
- You can still appear with the existing admit card while NTA processes corrections.
5. Important Notes
- Must carry the Admit Card to the exam centre.
- No duplicate Admit Card will be issued at the centre.
- Do not mutilate or alter any entry on the Admit Card.
- Preserve it carefully for future reference.
- Admit Card will not be issued for incomplete or ineligible applications.
