JIPMER Exams Preparation Tips

JIPMER entrance to MBBS seats uses NEET UG 2026 as an eligibility requirement, and post-graduate courses and super-speciality courses are done through INI CET 2026. The best way to secure a good rank at the admission of the JIPMER seat consisting of 249 MBBS seats (187 Puducherry, 62 Karaikal) or the Postgraduate programs there is to perform good preparation. The following are tips on preparation:

  1. Get to know the Pattern of the Exam: Know the NEET UG 2026 exam pattern (200 questions, 720 marks, 200 minutes) based on Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (NCERT-based). On INI CET 2026, medical topics, logical reasoning, and English are subject areas to concentrate on (200 questions, 180 minutes). Read through the syllabus given on nta.ac.in or aiimsexams.ac.in.
  2. Make a Study Plan: Draw a workable timetable and give time to every subject. Study 6 8 hours a day, mix with theory, practice, and revision. Add weekly mock examinations to monitor progress.
  3. Resources to use: Refer to NCERT textbooks in NEET UG along with other books such as HC Verma (Physics), OP Tandon (Chemistry), and Trueman in biology. INI CET: With regard to INI CET, apply medical texts that are specific to the subject.
  4. Take Mock Tests and Solved Papers: Try using former years NEET UG (2018 to 2024, nta.ac.in) and INI CET (aiimsexams.ac.in) papers. Study errors in an attempt to become accurate and faster.
  5. Keep Short Notes: Prepare small notes of formulas, any critical concept, and for fast revision. Read them through to give you support in learning.

JIPMER Question Papers of Previous Years

Previous years' question papers for NEET UG and INI CET are important for JIPMER 2026 guidance, offering insights into exam patterns and key subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology for NEET UG; medical topics and reasoning for INI CET). Papers from 2018–2024 are handy online.
