JIPMER 2026 Exam Details: Date, Pattern, Merit List, Old Question Pages, and Answer Keys

The JIPMER exam date for MBBS admissions is conducted through NEET UG 2026, while postgraduate and super-speciality admissions are via INI CET 2026. No separate JIPMER-specific entrance exam is held. 

JIPMER Merit List Parameters for 2026

The JIPMER Merit list for MBBS admissions (via NEET UG 2026) and postgraduate/wonderful-speciality admissions (through INI CET 2026) will be launched after the results in June 2026. Here are some JIPMER 2026 exam day guidelines:

1. Reporting to the Exam Centre

Be at the examination centre 1 hour before (NEET UG: ~2 PM; INI CET: as per schedule), the exam time. 

2. Compulsory Items to Carry

Bring a printed admit card, a valid original ID (Aadhaar, Voter ID, Passport, Driving License, PAN Card), and an ID photocopy.

3. Banned Objects

Leave your mobiles, calculators, smart watches, earphones, bags, or valued items. 

4. Behavior

Follow instructions by invigilators, get them their signature on the answer sheet, and sit until the exam is over. The breach can result in a penalty.

5. JIPMER Dress Code

• Use light colored, half-sleeve basic clothes. Do not wear jeans or wear shoes with a thick sole or clothes with numerous pockets/zips.
• No jewelry, caps, scarves, or goggles can be worn (except for religious dress (e.g., burqa/hijab), with early reporting).
• Wear sandals or slippers instead of closed ones.

6. Things to Avoid During JIPMER Exam

To have a smooth exam experience, do not take anything into the examination hall prohibited as specified in the admit card. The following are important ones to avoid:

• Contraband: Do not bring mobile phones, electronic devices (smart watches, earphones), calculators, Bluetooth apparatus, and valuables. A clear bottle of water is allowed.
• Panic/Stress: Do not panic or get stressed to give the exam with concentration. Do not cram before the exams.
• NEET UG Incomplete OMR/Answers: No OMR to be left blank, and care should be taken that the OMR sheet is properly filled and marked. Do two checks before submitting.
• Overlooking Directions: Carefully read all directions on the admit card and question paper, to make certain you do not overlook the directions and fail, or rather, be disqualified.

For JIPMER 2026, MBBS admissions will be through NEET UG 2026, while postgraduate and super-speciality admissions will primarily be through INI CET 2026. As JIPMER-specific entrance exams are not conducted, the exam pattern aligns with these national exams. Below is the expected exam pattern for NEET UG 2026, used for JIPMER MBBS admissions:

Previous years' question papers for NEET UG and INI CET are important for JIPMER 2026 guidance, offering insights into exam patterns and key subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology for NEET UG; medical topics and reasoning for INI CET). Papers from 2018–2024 are handy online.

Once the exam is over, JIPMER answer key will be available on the official web link of JIPMER (jipmer.edu.in) in May 2026. It is a computer-based exam that took place in different cities in India, and the candidates will have an opportunity to check the correctness of their answers with the answer key. The answer key can be downloaded by following these steps:

1. Go to jipmer.edu.in.
2. Click the particular registration ID and password to log in.
3. Press the button of Sign In button.
4. The answer key of the JIPMER 2026 will be displayed in PDF format.
5. Save it to your disk, check the answers, and print the file to refer to them.

The answer key allows the candidates to roughly calculate their scores until the results are displayed, which is scheduled for June of 2026.
