What are the Components of the NEET SS Syllabus Format for 2025?

The NEET SS syllabus format consists of two components as follows:

Part A

The subjects of this part will be uniform across all super-speciality groups and will include subjects such as pathology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, microbiology, biochemistry, and forensic medicine. The clinical subjects will include all topics of obstetrics, internal medicine, gynaecology, surgery, anaesthesia, paediatrics, as well as others.

Part B

This will include the specific super speciality track that a candidate chooses; therefore, the subject material will be different for this part as it relates to the specific super speciality track that the candidate selects.

For example, if the candidates choose cardiology as their super speciality group, the subject content for cardiology will include topics such as heart failure, cardiac pathology, electrophysiology, and other cardiac-related procedures. The same applies to neurology; the subject content would include topics of neurological disorders, neuroimaging, brain anatomy, stroke management, etc.

NEET SS Syllabus Focused Subjects

The syllabus has many topics under its umbrella, but the students should primarily focus on the following specialisations for better marks:

Clinical Medicine: The candidates opting for this speciality should cover diagnostic instruments, treatment protocols, clinical procedures, and patient management.

Basic medical sciences: This group includes information about pharmacology, anatomy, pathology, and physiology. This is an important subject to support the foundation in providing a better understanding of more advanced medical knowledge.

Recent advances in medicine: The NEET SS syllabus also includes recent advancements in medical technologies, treatment practices, and research.
