
Medical Council of India (MCI) / National Medical Commission (NMC) screening test is also commonly known as Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE), is a national level licensure examination conducted twice a year by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) which is compulsory for foreign medical graduates for getting the permanent or provisional registration with MCI/NMC or other State Medical Council which will be held on 18th June, 2021.

The total fee for taking the FMGE exam is Rs. 5,500/- which is non-refundable.
The payment for the application form can be made through either payment gateway or credit or debit card.
The examination leading expert, National Board of Examinations (NBE), will announce the exam pattern of FMGE exam in its information bulletin.The FMGE exam will be conducted online which is a computer-based test. The exam will have a total of 300 multiple choice questions in two part which will be conducted in the English language. The exam will be divided into two part papers - the first part will be conducted in the morning session and the second part will be taken in the afternoon session consisting of 150 questions each. Information of FMGE Exam Pattern 2021 (Overview)
Exam will be online (Computer base).
The FMGE exam is divided into 2 parts - first in the morning session and second in the evening session.
The duration of each part of the exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes
Both part contains each 150 multiple choice questions.
There is a short break between the two parts of examination.
There will be multiple-choice questions (MCQs) asked in the exam with single correct response.
The weightage of multiple choice question in each section will vary, National Board of Examinations (NBE) has the authority to alter the marks of the questions.
No negative marking.
Student must be an Indian citizen or abroad citizen of India.
The Student must be completed the primary medical qualification, which is accepted by the Indian Embassy & to be recognised as a medical practitioner in the country.
The student looking for provisional or permanent registration and holding undergraduate medical qualification from - New Zealand, United Kingdom, Australia, USA, Australia is recognised for enrolment as medical practitioner in that country, then the candidate need not to qualify the FMGE exam.
It is compulsory to provide required documents proof to support candidates passed final examination and primary medical qualification.
