What is the IPU CET Exam?
The IPU CET is a university-level entrance exam conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU). The exam is held for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by GGSIPU and its affiliated colleges. IPU CET 2026 Counselling Process
The GGSIPU has already started the counselling process of IPU CET 2026. Refer to the points below to know about the step-by-step counselling process.
Step 1: Counselling Registration and Fee Payment
The candidate must register on the official GGSIPU website with a fee payment of ₹2,500, which should be paid online. After the fee payment, proceed with the registration process by providing personal and academic details.
Step 2: Choice Filling and Locking
After the registration process, the candidate needs to log in with the given ID and password. Then, they need to fill out the preferred colleges and courses in order of preference. The candidate can make changes, add, rearrange, or modify their choices before the final date. The candidates can check the course-wise, category-wise, and college-wise seat matrix released by the authority at the time of choice filling.
Step 3: Seat Allotment
The candidate can check the seat allotment on the official website. They can log in with their ID and password to download the IPU CET seat allotment letter. Seats are allotted based on the candidate’s CET rank, reservation category, and preferences.
Step 4: Fee Payment and Seat Acceptance
The candidate who is allotted a seat must pay the academic fee online to confirm the seat within the stipulated time. If the candidate fails to pay the fee within the prescribed time, the allotted seat is forfeited. They can choose the ‘Freeze’ option for the allotted seat if they are satisfied with the given seat or ‘Float’ if they want to upgrade in the next round.
Step 5: Document Verification
The candidate must verify the required documents at the counselling centre. They must carry all the documents in original along with photocopies. The documents are verified by the authority, and if the documents are found correct, the candidate is issued a slip with ID and password.

IPU CET 2026 Application Process
The IPU CET 2026 application process is conducted online. The candidates who fulfil the eligibility requirements have to submit the application form along with the required documents.
