WBJEE Result 2026, Cutoff, and Counselling Process

The WBJEE  result is usually released online after four to six weeks of the exam, on wbjeeb.nic.in. The candidates can check their results by using their roll number, date of birth, or application number. 

How to Download WBJEE 2026 Results

The WBJEE 2026 result will be released online in the form of a rank card by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB). Candidates must log in to the official portal to download their results and check their All India Rank (AIR) and category rank. The rank card is an important document and will be required during counseling and admission.

Steps to Download WBJEE Result 2026:

1. Visit the official website – wbjeeb.nic.in.
2. Click on the link “WBJEE 2026 Result” or “Download Rank Card”.
3. Enter your application number, date of birth, and security pin in the login window.
4. Click on “Submit” to access your result.
5. The rank card will appear on the screen, displaying your scores, rank, and qualifying status.
6. Download the PDF and save it for future reference.

Take multiple printouts of the rank card as it will be needed during counseling and admission processes.

The cutoff of WBJEE changes annually with college, branch, the number of applicants, and the difficulty level of examination. The cutoff ranks are very competitive in the top institutes and, there are comparatively high class closing ranks in the self-financed colleges and other privately run colleges.

To illustrate this, Jadavpur University (CSE) the expected cut off rank would lie between 1to 120, whereas the cut off in the case of IEM Kolkata (CSE) would be between 6000 to 9000. In a like manner, other popular colleges such as ECE, IT, ME, and EE departments also have their closing ranks.

The WBJEEB accomplishes the online counselling procedure of WBJEE 2026 in their entirety. It is to commence in June 2026, several weeks after the announcement of results.

There are a number of steps in the process of counselling.

• Registration- Candidates are to register online and pay the fee set on counselling.
• Choice Filling & Locking - Lock your favorite colleges and college branch in descending order of priority.
• Seat Allotment- seats are chosen on the basis of rank, and first come first served.
• Document Verification - The candidates should upload and confirm all the necessary documents.
• Reporting - The final reporting at the allocated college to validate admission.

Seat allotment will go on at least twice, with a mop-up round in order to get unsold seats.

The counselling fee is ₹500 per round, which is non-refundable and must be paid through net banking, UPI, or credit/debit card.
