The Telangana NEET Counselling 2026 is expected to start from mid to late July 2026. After the re-NEET 2026 result announcement, the Telangana NEET Counselling 2026 will start for MBBS admission in medical colleges in Telangana.  

The Telangana NEET-UG Counselling 2026 rounds of NEET for MBBS/BDS seats in Telangana state are officially authorised by KNRUHS—KNR University of Health Sciences. Once the student qualifies for the NEET-UG exam, they become eligible to get involved in the process of NEET. 

Students need to apply via MCC to get AIQ seats and through KNRUHS to aim for state quota seats if they want to pursue MBBS in the state of Telangana. The Telangana NEET-UG Counselling 2026 deals with 4290 MBBS seats in 36 government medical colleges in Telangana, along with 29 private medical colleges with 5150 seats. At the same time, for BDS admission, Telangana has a total of 14 colleges, out of which one is a government college with 100 seats and 13 private BDS colleges with 1240 seats. 

There are three different categories of seats in Telangana. These are: 

  • Category A—State Quota seats
  • Category B—Management Quota seats
  • Category C – NRI Quota Seats

Telangana UG Counselling 2026: Eligibility Criteria

The Candidate applying for the Telangana NEET-UG Counselling 2026 round should be of Indian Nationality, or he/she has to be a Person of Indian Origin (PIO) or a Citizen of India Overseas (OCI), with the fulfilment of the local or non-local status as a resident of Telangana, as per the Act Andhra Pradesh Education Institution (Admission Regulation) Order, 1974.

The student applying for the NEET Counselling should have passed the 10+12 intermediate level or any equivalent examination with the aggregate marks of 50% in P.C.B. (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) & English as well.

The aggregated marks required for admission for the students taking admission through EWS is also 50%; for BC/SC/ST, it is 40%, and for OC Ph, the limitation of the score is above 45%.

According to the act of the Medical Council of India, 1956 (New Delhi Section 10), the results of the candidate in the National Entrance Examination Test (N.E.E.T.) should be above the cutoff percentile.


Counselling Process of Telangana UG Round 2026

The first step is to register yourself on Telangana.gov in order to start the procedure of Telangana NEET Counselling; then the candidate has to make payment of the fees, which are ₹3500 for GN & OBC and ₹2900 for SC & ST.

  • Next, the applicant can log in to their newly formed account to check the matrix of the seats for the purpose of choice filling.
  • Then the seat will be allotted to the students as per their cutoff, ranking, priority, & preference of the student.
  • After acceptance of the seat, the candidate can report the same to the college of his selection.
  • The candidates should prepare themselves for the forthcoming round of counselling as per the schedule intended for them.
  • The process comes to an end after reporting and the verification of the docs.
