Jharkhand NEET Counselling 2026 is a state-level admission process for MBBS and BDS courses in government and private medical colleges of Jharkhand conducted by Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) based on the NEET examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) of the Government of India after the examination. The remaining 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats will be filled up through the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) after the counselling process for 85% State Quota seats. The counselling process for 85% State Quota seats will be followed by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) counselling process for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats.

After the declaration of the NEET UG results, the Jharkhand NEET UG Counselling 2026 registration is expected in August 2026. The counselling procedure involves online registration, verification of documents, declaration of merit list, choice filling, seat allotment, payment of fees and reporting to the allotted college. Jharkhand NEET Counselling 2026: Registration Steps

Here are the step-by-step process of Jharkhand NEET UG counselling 2026:

Step 1: Registration

  • First, the Applicant has to visit the official website of Jharkhand NEET UG Counselling and click on the registration form link.
  • Fill in your personal details, such as Name, Gender, Nationality, Nativity, Aadhaar Number, Date Of Birth, Category Disability Status, Educational Qualification, Email Id, and more. 
  • After proofreading, submit the form.

Step 2: Documentation

You’ll Be prompted to upload the following documents:

  • Recent photograph in white background (15 kb- 100 kb), should be 150 pixels wide and 200 pixels high in JPG/ jpeg format.
  • Signature on white paper with blue/black Ink (4 kb- 100 kb), should be 150 pixel wide and 100 pixels height in jpg/ jpeg format.
  • Other relevant documents. As a single PDF file (> 500 KB).
  • The following certificates should be in PDF format.
  • Candidate’s class X (SSLC) certificate is mandatory and is to be uploaded in the online application.
  • Proof of Nativity: Birth Certificate/SSLC Certificate/Passport showing the candidate’s place of birth.
  • Proof of Date of Birth in PDF format.

Step 3: Self - Declaration & Final Submission

  • Check all your information and click on the ‘Declaration’ checkbox, and click on the final submit button.
  • After submission, an application/registration Number will be generated.
  • You will receive an email and SMS with your application number and password. 

Step 5: Fee Payment

  • Click on the fee payment link while following the instructions. Payment can be made via Internet Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card.
  • Once payment is done, keep the slip for reference.
  • Bank Charges/Payment Gateway Charges are your responsibility, and ensure payment is made within the due date.

JCECEB Jharkhand: Counselling Authority & Significance

Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) is the official counselling body for conducting Jharkhand NEET UG Counselling 2026 for MBBS and BDS admission in government and private medical and dental colleges in the state. JCECEB was formed by the Government of Jharkhand (GOI) under Bihar Re-Constituted Act, 2000, for conducting Entrance Examinations and centralised counselling for various professional courses of Jharkhand. 

The Jharkhand State Merit List is prepared by JCECEB with the help of the NEET UG 2026 scores of eligible candidates for NEET UG admissions. The entire counselling process like registration, verification of documents, merit list, choice filling, seat allocation, fee payment and reporting of the admission, is conducted online by the board. The JCECEB portal is used to publish all official notifications, counselling schedules, seat allotment results and important announcements.

Upon the completion of MBBS, students have a variety of career options depending on their interests and aspirations.

  • Pursue PG (MD/MS/DNB): Take NEET PG to specialise in various fields such as General Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Radiology, and others.
  • National Exit Test (NExT): Medical graduates have to clear the NExT exam for getting a medical license and for post-graduate admission in India.
  • Medical Officer Government & Private Job: Apply for Medical Officer (G/P) in Government Hospitals, Private Hospitals, Clinics or any Health Care Institutions.

Jharkhand NEET UG Counselling 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who want to take admission in Jharkhand NEET UG Counselling 2026 should be eligible as per the eligibility criteria fixed by Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB). Ques. Who is eligible for Jharkhand NEET Counselling 2026?

Ans. The candidates who have passed out Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, English and have qualified NEET UG 2026 and the age of the candidates must not be less than 17 years as of 31 December 2026 are eligible for admission. For getting 85% seats under state quota, the candidates should have domicile as specified by JCECEB and should have all the required documents such as valid domicile certificate, category certificate (If applicable).


Ques. How can I register for Jharkhand NEET Counselling 2026?

Ans. The candidates must go to the official website of JCECEB and fill the online registration form providing details regarding their personal, academic and NEET information. Once registered, the applicants are required to upload all the required documents, make the counselling fee payment online and lock their choices before the deadline of counselling. To preserve for future reference, a copy of the application form and the receipt for payment should be kept.


Ques. How many MBBS seats are available through Jharkhand NEET Counselling 2026?

Ans. There are 730 MBBS seats available in government MBBS colleges to be filled through Jharkhand counselling and 200 MBBS seats in private MBBS colleges which are filled through Jharkhand counselling.
