CBSE Exam Class 10 Eligibility Criteria 2026

CBSE Class 10 exam dates and eligibility criteria have been released by CBSE and are scheduled to commence from 17 February 2026 to 10 March 2026. CBSE class 10 exam eligibility criteria are the requirements students must meet to appear in the board exams. Fulfilling eligibility criteria ensures the successful application of NEP 2020. 

CBSE class 10 exam eligibility criteria include continuous study over two academic years (Classes 9 and 10), a minimum of 75% attendance, successful completion of Class 9 from a recognized board, and registration through affiliated schools. Candidates must complete registration through their schools on the CBSE Pariksha Sangam portal with accurate details. Indian nationals, NRIs, and foreign nationals studying in CBSE-affiliated schools are eligible.

CBSE also accommodates private students and students with special needs by extending special provisions. CBSE outlines specific provisions for these students. CBSE does not usually state an age criteria for class 10 students but the most candidates are typically between 14 and 16 years old.
