FMGE 2026 Application Process: Step-by-Step Guide
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) conducts the FMGE 2026 application process online for foreign medical graduates aiming to get registered in India. Candidates who are medically qualified from a recognised medical institute abroad are required to submit the Application form along with the required documents and payment of the prescribed fee within the prescribed time frame to make them eligible to appear for the examination.
The candidates need to fill in all the personal and academic information in the application form carefully so as to complete the application process of FMGE 2026 successfully; they must upload the valid documents and also ensure that all the information they have provided is accurate. In case of any mismatch in the application form or documents uploaded the candidature may be rejected at the verification stage.

How to Apply for FMGE 2026?
All processes of the FMGE 2026 application will be done online on the official NBEMS website. The candidates need to register and provide their personal and educational information, and upload the necessary documents before the specified application fee is paid. The application process is the same for June and December sessions.
Step 1: Check the Information Bulletin
The official information bulletin was published by NBEMS before the start of the FMGE application process. Candidates are advised to read the eligibility criteria, guidelines for application and important dates carefully before applying.
Step 2: Complete Online Registration
In order to apply for NBEMS, applicants need to register themselves with their basic details on the examination portal of NBEMS through their email ID and mobile number.
Step 3: Fill Out the Application Form
Once registered, candidates must provide accurate details of their personal details, academic qualifications, foreign medical degree information, and other information.
Step 4: Upload Required Documents
All of the required documents must be uploaded as a scanned image in the required format and size.
Step 5: Pay the Application Fee
Application fee is to be paid online using a debit card/Credit card/ UPI, or Net banking. The application will not be successful until the fee is paid.
Step 6: Utilize the Correction Window
Typically, NBEMS will offer a timeframe that will enable applicants to make minor corrections to the details and the photos they had submitted.
Step 7: Download Admit Card
After downloading the FMGE admit card, candidates can use their login credentials to download the admit card from the official portal.
Step 8: Appear for the Examination
The candidates are required to appear for the Examination at the allotted Examination Centre on the date of the Examination with the Admit Card and a valid Photo Identity Card.
FMGE 2026: Application Fee
FMGE application fee is never refundable, and payment through online mode is mandatory during the FMGE application process. Candidates are required to keep the receipt for payment for future reference till the completion of the admission and licensing process.
