GATE Eligibility Criteria 2026

Students willing to appear for GATE Exam 2026 must fulfill a required eligibility criteria. The GATE 2026 eligibility criteria includes a bachelor's degree in relevant field (Engineering/Technology) or a master's degree in science subject. Students in their final or pre-final year may also apply for the examination.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a relevant field. Candidates with integrated degrees may also apply for the examination.

Age Criteria 

There is no upper age limit of appearing for GATE Exam 2026.

GATE 2026 Syllabus

GATE 2026 Syllabus includes General General Aptitude, Engineering Mathematics, and a core subject specific in engineering discipline. The core subjects are selected by the students as per their choice. The General Aptitude section covers 15 marks, while the Engineering Mathematics covers 13 marks, and the core subject covers 72 marks in the gate exam.
