Students willing to appear for GATE Exam 2026 must fulfill a required eligibility criteria. The GATE 2026 eligibility criteria includes a bachelor's degree in relevant field (Engineering/Technology) or a master's degree in science subject. Students in their final or pre-final year may also apply for the examination.

GATE 2026 Syllabus includes General General Aptitude, Engineering Mathematics, and a core subject specific in engineering discipline. The General Aptitude section covers 15 marks, while the Engineering Mathematics covers 13 marks, and the core subject covers 72 marks in the gate exam.
