KCET 2026 Result Overview

The KCET 2026 result will be declared with the list of toppers on the official website by the Karnataka Examination Authority. The KEA will also release the seat matrix and eligibility list for the counselling process. As per the past trends, KCET results are usually declared in the last week of May. Step 3: Enter your registration and password to log in.

Step 5: Download the PDF of the scorecard and take a printout for future reference for admission.

KCET 2026 Cutoff

The KCET 2026 cutoff will be released by KEA after the KCET results are announced on the official website.  After the result declaration, KEA will start releasing its KCET cut-off percentage. The cutoff for KCET 2026 is yet to be released on the official website. The KCET cutoff is released separately for each course, and the different cutoffs will be announced for each counselling round. The KCET cutoff is the minimum score required for admission. The candidates securing a rank above or equal to the released cutoff are allowed for admission. KCET 2026 Counselling

The Karnataka Examination Authority will conduct the KCET 2026 counselling process. Refer to the points below to know about the step-by-step counselling process:


Step 1: KCET registration and document verification

The candidate must verify the required documents at the counselling centre. They must carry all the documents with their original and photocopies. The documents will be verified by the authority, and if the documents are correct, the candidate will be given a slip with ID and password.

  • Class 10/SSLC scorecard
  • Class 12/PUC scorecard
  • 2 passport-sized photographs, recent
  • Study certificate countersigned by the concerned BEO/DDPI.
  • KCET 2026 application form
  • KCET 2026 admit card
  • KCET 2026 application fee proof
  • Income certificate
  • Rural study certificate
  • Caste certificate
  • Kannada medium certificate
  • Parent’s study certificate/Parent’s hometown certificate/ Parent’s domicile certificate/ Parent’s employment certificate/ Parent’s cumulative record/ Marks card, etc., for the candidates claiming eligibility for government seats based on the domicile/study/Parent’s employment
  • Identity card issued by the Jurisdictional Deputy Commissioner/ District Magistrate/Rehabilitation Commissioner, for the candidates claiming eligibility for government seats under the Jammu & Kashmir migrants quota


Step 2: Choice filling and locking

After the document verification, the candidate needs to log in with the given ID and password. Then, they will have to fill out the preferred college and courses in order of preference. The candidate can make the changes in addition, rearrange, or modify their choices before the final date.  The candidates can check the course-wise, category-wise, and college-wise seat matrix released by the authority at the time of choice filling.


Step 3: Seat allotment

The candidate can check the seat allotment, which will be released on the official website. They can log in with their ID and password to download the KCET seat allotment letter. The candidates can change their choices and check the allotment status. The KCET 2026 counselling includes two rounds of allotment, with a second extended round and a special round. They can download the provisional allotment letter and take a printout.


Step 4: Reporting at allotted institutes

The candidates with their respective allotted institutes can report to their institutes to confirm the admission within the stipulated time. They are advised to carry all the required documents during the reporting, along with the KCET counselling allotment letter to the institute.
