The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) under DGHS withdraws a total of 73 seats from the Round 1 NEET PG counselling 2025 seat matrix. Multiple medical colleges shared updated seat information with MCC, the revision is the aftermath.
This move impacts candidates who are registering for the first round of NEET PG medical admissions.

Which Seats Have Been Removed?
According to the MCC notice, the following states pulled back the seats:
- Gujarat: 28 seats
- Uttar Pradesh: 11 seats
- Jammu & Kashmir: 11 seats
- Chhattisgarh: 7 seats
- Telangana: 4 seats

Why This Matters?
Round 1 registration for MD/MS ends on 5 November 2025. The seat allotment result is scheduled to be released on 8 November 2025. These corrections are critical because students have already locked in their choices based on this matrix. Any edit affects their chances, preference order and seat allotments.

This Comes Just Days After Another Withdrawal
MCC had recently withdrawn 103 NEET PG seats:
- 49 MD/MS seats
- 54 DNB seats
At the same time, 6 new seats from private colleges were added.
After all changes, the total NEET PG 2025 PG seat count is now 28,663 covering all MD/MS/DNB/PG Diploma programmes across NEET PG accepting colleges.
