As per English Gujarat Samachar, 14 government and semi-government colleges have received 247 seats.
GMERS Colleges: 173 Seats Approved
Eight GMERS colleges get 173 seats. The requested number was about 420.

They sought approval for 400 seats but got only around 100. Six major government medical colleges:

As clarified Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) by he state quota matrix will include the sanctioned increase directly. They explained that counselling authorities do not need to wait for the Letter of Permission (LOP).
The seat approval list will be published on the NMC website, and it will be treated as valid. This ensures aspirants can access these seats immediately when the allotment rounds kick off.
State Government Files Appeals
Due to the drastic mismatch between the requested and approved numbers, the Gujarat Health Department directed all deans to file appeals before the NMC.
Paying ₹50,000 per subject, colleges have already submitted appeals.

Counselling Schedule Faces Delays
The precariousness of postgraduate medical admissions in Gujarat is due to the All-India Quota (AIQ) choice filling delay, and this has not occurred for the first time.
- State quota admission was planned on 19-27 November.
- But it can not begin until MCC NEET PG AIQ Round 1 Counselling is completed.
