MHT CET Application Process for 2026: Important Dates, Fees, Payment Modes, Documents, and Admit Card Info

THE MHT CET admission process or counselling process is known as the Centralised Admission Process (CAP). Students after appeared for MHT CET need to register for CAP rounds, which will be held in July 2026. Below is the step-by-step process for the MHT CET 2026 application process: 

Step 1: New Registration

Visit the official website- https://cetcell.mahacet.org/  to register for admission counselling for colleges in Maharashtra. You will find a link to register on the website for counselling and other details. 

Step 2: Application Form 

To begin, fill out the application form with the required details, including personal details, contact details, and previous qualifications. You have to select a preferred list of colleges as per your program requirements. 

Step 3: Document Verification 

Once the application form is submitted, you have to verify the original documents. As listed on the official website and registration portal, verify your documents. 

Step 4: Merit List & Seat Allotment 

Initially provisional merit list is released by the CET cell, followed by the final merit list. Students have to check out the merit list and appear for counselling rounds accordingly. Based on the merit list, seat allotment is done for various courses. Students get notified on the registration portal for their seat allotment. 

Step 5: Reporting to the College 

Once you get a seat allotted in the college, you have to report to the college with your original documents. These documents include your 10+2 mark sheet, MHT CET admit card, MHT CET score card, and seat allotment confirmation.

Maharashtra State CET Cell will release the MHT CET 2026 admit card in April 2026. Successful applicants will download their admit card through the official portal after successful registration and submitting their application form. Admit card is a very important form because it entails any information that can concern the test center, time, and relevant information of the candidate.

Steps to Download MHT CET 2026 Admit Card

1. Visit WebsiteVisit the official web portal of Maharashtra CET Cell: cetcell.mahacet.org. It is the sole genuine site to download the admit card.
2. Get Link of Admit CardOn the main page, go to the message or main link called MHT CET 2026 Admit Card Download. It will begin to be active as the admit cards are out.
3. Log into the Candidate PortalEnter application number and password or date of birth as used in registration. Be sure the details are carefully entered to avoid log in side errors.
4. Download Admit CardAfter you log in, your admit card will be displayed. Review all Information such as your name, roll number, date of exam, reporting time, and address of the exam centre.
5. Download the Admit CardClick the download button to download a soft copy of your admit card in a PDF file. It is recommended to save a backup copy on their phone or their email address just to be safe
6. Make Copies of itPrint 2 3 copies of the admit card on A4-sized paper. Bring one and keep the rest at home to refer to them later, as the admit card is also a requirement during the time of counselling and admission.
