• Domicile: Students in Maharashtra must appear for the MHT CET for admissions to Engineering courses. 
• All India Candidates: All India candidates may or may not appear for MHT CET, as preference will be given to JEE Main scores. 
• Category Certificate: As per the guidelines by CET cell, students are required to submit a category certificate, if applicable.

The MHT CET Cell organizes the exam through three separate papers, designed according to the chosen stream of candidates.

• Paper 1 is dedicated to Mathematics and is mandatory for students in the PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) group who are seeking admission in engineering programs.
• Paper 2 covers Physics and Chemistry, which is common for both PCM and PCB candidates.
• Paper 3 focuses on Biology and is required for students from the PCB group, mainly applying for pharmacy and health science programs.

• Around 80% of the questions in MHT CET are framed from the Class 12 syllabus, while 20% are from Class 11.

MHT CET 2026 Exam Day Guidelines & Dress Code

On the exam day, candidates must follow the official guidelines and dress code to ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience.

Dress Code

• Wear simple and comfortable clothes such as T-shirts, shirts, or kurtas.
• Avoid full sleeves, jackets, or layered clothing.
• Prefer slippers or sandals instead of closed shoes, as they require extra checking.
• Do not wear jewellery, accessories, caps, or scarves.

Exam Day Guidelines

• Reach the exam centre at least 30–45 minutes early.
• Carry your admit card, valid photo ID, and essential stationery.
• Do not carry electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, or tablets.
• Follow the instructions of the invigilator carefully.
