What are the different MBBS Seats In India?

• Government Seats: There are 386 government-owned colleges with approximately 55,648 govt MBBS seats in India. 
• Private Seats: With 351 private medical colleges in India, there are 53,256 approx seats reserved for MBBS. 
• Semi-Government: There are 8 semi-government-owned medical colleges with MBBS seats reserved for NEET Candidates.

85% of the seats provided to the state for domicile students have a major section of MBBS Seats. Every state has a different number of colleges and different seats. Which Authorities are Responsible for MBBS Seat Allotment In India? 

The National Testing Agency (NTA) conduct NEET every year for MBBS and other medical courses admissions. The MBBS Seats across various government institutes and their allotments are done by MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) and the State Education Department.
