MCC Issues Notice for NEET PG Round 1 Seat AllotmentMCC Issues Notice for NEET PG Round 1 Seat Allotment

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has revised the NEET PG 2025 Round 1 seat matrix, extended the choice-filling deadline, and issued an updated counselling schedule. The update comes after a noteworthy seat increase and seat cuts of NEET PG seats across India

This is also an aftermath of these two key reasons:

  • Approval by the National Medical Commission (NMC) of new PG seats in deemed universities.
  • Withdrawal of DNB seats by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).

The revised NEET PG Round 1 seat allotment result will now be released on 22 November. The result will be available to check on the official website of MCC.

Before, NEET PG Counselling 2025 had 28,663 seats to offer in:

  • MD
  • MS
  • PG Diploma
  • DNB programmes

Here you can view the official PDF by NMC:

For students following overall medical admission updates, a detailed report on the latest NEET UG seat revision has also been published.

Why the Seat Matrix Was Revised?

The revision took place due to two major updates, as the MCC notification states:

  • 239 new PG seats: Sanctioned by the NMC for deemed universities.
  • 235 DNB seats: Withdrawn across government and private colleges.

These changes will directly affect students who chose these colleges in choice-filling by lowering their chances or giving them an edge in seat allotment. Therefore, MCC reopened the choice-filling window. This allowed candidates to edit or resubmit preferences before allotment as per the latest matrix.

Is This the First Time MCC Revised the Seat Matrix?

No. As the counselling process for NEET UG and NEET PG is going on, the chain of seat revisions has not been stopped at both the national and state levels.
