Top Colleges in India Based on 2025 Ranking: Admissions 2025

Here are the available details for admissions 2025.

Engineering (IITs, NITs, IIITs, CFTIs)

  • To apply to NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded technical institutions (CFTIs), students must qualify the JEE Main examination.
  • The eligibility criteria are a minimum aggregate of 75% marks in Class 12 (or 65% for SC/ST) or being in the top 20th percentile of your board; however, these are to be considered prerequisites for admission, and not to attempt JEE Main.

Medical (MBBS / MD / MS / AYUSH)

  • To be admitted to MBBS, you will have to use your NEET-UG scores.
  • In 2025, NEET cutoffs reduced considerably - for example, the all-India open quota cutoff for central counselling reduced from 668 to 550.
  • The students who seek to be postgraduate students will have to take NEET-PG (and INI-CET for institutes like AIIMS, JIPMER).

Arts, Commerce, Science (Central Universities like DU, JNU, BHU)

  • Admissions are highly based on CUET (UG and PG).
  • For DU, usually Class 10 board marks are the tiebreaker when CUET scores are tied.
  • These universities often give updates on new courses, reservation policies and extra counselling.

Engineering Events & Updates

More students recently participated in the Mission Admission 2025 event, and while experts pointed out that career planning doesn't go just beyond exams, they spoke about strengths, skills and individual capacity.
