NEET UG 2026: Students appearing for NEET UG 2026 and aiming for an MBBS seat in a government medical college, you must one thing that after the exam, it will be tough to compete to get admission in government medical colleges. The NTA will conduct the NEET exam on 03 May 2026 and the NEET UG 2206 result will be declared with rank. After the results, seats will be allotted through the counselling by MCC and state counselling authorities. 

If you score NEET rank between 10,000 and 15,000, admission to government medical colleges may still be possible. However, the final college will depend on several factors such as All India Quota seats, state quota, domicile, category, seat availability, college preference and previous-year closing ranks.

NEET UG 2026 Exam Date, Pattern and Marking Scheme 

The NEET UG 2026 exam will be held on 3 May 2026 in a single shift from 2 PM to 5 PM. The exam will have Physics, Chemistry and Biology with 180 compulsory questions. The maximum marks will be 720.
